There is a region in Wyoming, around the Wind River mountains, that is both wild and beautiful. Less well known than the Tetons, this area is inspirational to me in its stark and powerful presence.

The Tetons for me represent the spirit of the West, seen in the light coming over the mountains, the stark winter beauty. Mountains are so solid...and yet. They have their own movement, their own way of walking.
